with no update on the fix for the reverse camera safety recall being available for my 2024 maverick, i may instead get a 2025 Maverick XL with the new AWD hybrid drivetrain.
on the 2025 orders, adding the 4k tow package now requires the Co-Pilot360 option.
does the Blind Spot Information System (that's part of the required package) work with a trailer attached? will the indicator light in the mirror appear when a vehicle is next to the truck or trailer?
i saw the TFL towing video where they showed the trailer menu on the infotainment screen. inside their defined trailer settings, the last option for "trailer blind spot" appeared to be grayed out and set to off. was this due to BLIS not working with their particular trailer, or the entire system being turned off, or was it grayed out because BLIS needs a higher trim / option / package to work with a trailer?
the online pdf copy of the owner's manual makes reference to both "blind spot assist" and "blind spot assist with trailer coverage" and on the "blind spot information system (if equipped)" pages, it indicates a trailer length can be specified. however, the manual does not make any indication of which package / option includes this feature.
can someone whom has a 2025 XL with 4k tow package (and its required co-pilot360 option) please check whether or not the blind spot indicators in the mirrors will light up when vehicles are next to an attached trailer?
