Anyone yet install a set of Ram or Ford truck fog lights into the standard bumper (not an FX4 model with the cutouts).

I want something that matches the look of the Lariat style lights without the look of those round add on leds. I would settle with a halogen setup bulb - can always install an HID option in it. I have a few style light options that are somewhat matching but the curvature may be an issue. I keep hoping someone comes up with something before I start cutting the plastic since you only get one try.

Actually, you can have multiple tries.

The rear hitch cover is "about" the same size but not quite the right shape. But you can make it work with some craftsmanship. And I learned it does not melt up to 350°F. I put it in kitchen oven to "soften it" to add/remove curves, starting at 200°F and going up in 20 degree increments it did not get soft until about 350.

Not perfect. But with some craftsmanship you can make it work. About $50 for two. (I forget exact $)

That's the cleanest install I've seen yet.
Can you please take a pic with the fog light off?

I don't have CNC mill or 3D printer. So all done by hand with Dremel tool.
Put lamp in first: the big cutout gives room to get your hands in there, then put the cover in "sprung" it was flat, bumper is curved, so it held itself in place, then slowly enlarged the hole with Dremel.

Did NOT remove bumper at any time.

I think the Maverick needs fog lights similar to a Mk6 GTI. I think that curved style could fit on the outside of the area and work on non-FX4 or FX4 setups, leaving the inner rectangular part for a tow hook or just blocked, and look good either way.

These are from a 2015-16 F150 - Had to remove all but one mounting tab. Then used body panel adhesive to glue them to the back of the cover and used the leftover tab for a bolt. Cut out the opening with a Dremel tool and used car door edge guard, universal fit black rubber U shaped to go around the cut edge. I then used the adhesive to fill between the light and the u-shaped edge. The light housing was then sprayed with a black chip guard.

The U-shaped edge -

As someone who currently drives a MK6 GTI and will miss it dearly when I get my '25...I agree! Though I think the Mav would need to be a touch more rectangular to fit the overall aesthetic of the truck.
