I know its horrible but I need something to protect the front end for the time being. Will do again at some point in the near future. At least I know what to do now.

PPF is really tough to apply to begin with, do it in the cold and it's even worse. Best case scenario is you leave the unapplied PPF out in the sun, start from the exact center point and work your way out to the edges, the ripples you have are because you didn't stretch enough probably because the PPF wasn't soft enough and was tough to stretch.

I mean...that's not too too bad honestly. Now if I had paid somebody to do it and it came out looking like that I would be miffed, but if I did it myself, I might just go over it with a hairdryer and try to smooth the wrinkles, and if it didn't work, just let it ride...

anyone who wants it relatively inexpensive , you can buy it in the Ford accessories shop and install cost is like $60.

Ihttps://accessories.ford.com/products/paint-protection-package
That's pretty expensive for very minimal protection, I think it just protects the edge of the hood and two fenders. I purchased 3m Scotchgard PPF for the full bumper, hood edge, fender edges, rocker panels, A pillars and roof edge for the same price even though I had to install myself. That's significantly more coverage than what the factory offers which doesn't even include the bumper which is probably going to take the most damage. If we're just talking what the factory offers in terms of protection, ie the bumper and fender edges a local PPF shop can do a much better job for a lot less money

I know I would screw this up, all my local shops seemed to be pretty expensive but I may take a look. OP's job would be a master piece compared to what I would end up doing 😅 . I am an avid DIY'er but know when things are out of my lane

Got a chance to fix the bubbles and fingers from my original install. It came out pretty decent. I should be better at this on my future PPF applications.
