Well I posted in electronics first.
I picked up my Maverick XLT FX4 on March 28, 2022.
Black with the trifold bed cover, rear sliding window, and bug deflector. I added the bed carpet about a week later. Aftermarket I got the Weathertech floor liners front and back, I get a deal through the National Ski Patrol.
I'll be adding a few more things but so far so good. I have put 1200 miles on it, I'm getting 26-27 MPG.
Ordered mine through Apple Valley Ford in Apple Valley MN. October 31 2021. They kept me up to date and were very helpful. Yes there were hiccups but nothing serious mostly just me getting confused. No one was ever confused by an auto dealer, right.
I wanted a Jeep Gladiator but just could not think of a $35,000 - $40,000 loan. My first house mortgage was $62,000. I came from a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X with 210,000 miles purchased new that I loved for over 14 years but it was time. I never wheeled the Jeep I just need four wheel drive here in Minnesota. I ski so I'm out in the weather and it can be slick.
I've not driven more than a 150 mile trip but it was comfortable for that distance. I'll find out about long distance this summer when I drive to Gunnison CO. for a family reunion/fly fishing/mountain biking/scotch drinking.
The electronics are a bit of an education (I work in technology) but I'm not completely overwhelmed. I can see how someone who is not accustomed to technology at this level would be daunted. I didn't even have cruise control on my Jeep so this is a change. I'm trying to find a CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive that will let me play CD's on this cell phone on wheels. I'm thinking a bluetooth drive might be the way to go. Yea it's old school
Sam.
