Egg sized rock off the back of a lowbed....better it took out the windshield and insurance covers it for $200, rather than taking out the grill and rad for much more $..

FYI-the Lariat SoundScreen windshield are listed as backorder with no eta. Hopefully not too long a wait.

Well I didnt have anxiety about mine till I read the backorder part. What does that mean do you have to accept a regular WS?

Depends on where you take it for replacement best guess.
My Ford dealer is also an authorized insurance place. I had the option for standard, aftermarket or Soundscreen. I asked to wait for the Lariat windshield. One of the reasons I went with the Lariat version.
I'll update this when I get word it's in.

Don't hold your breath on getting a replacement anytime soon. Seems everything is on back order regarding the Maverick.

Hopefully you can still drive the Truck with the damaged windshield. Although it doesn't obscure your vision, windshields are now an integral part of the overall safety features of a vehicle. Remember, ICBC can be very difficult to deal with.

First dings are annoying at minimum or can be wtf just happened?

My first was a star crack on the windshield and then the frustrating one is when my wife opens the passenger door into her car door and then says, it's all right, where I can feel the nick on the door edge.
The worst part of that, is that she did exactly the same thing on my previous car, where she noticeably chipped the paint on the door edge!

8 weeks and still no stock in Canada
But my dealer located one from the USA.
New install next week.

If your in Canada and this happens,
ask the dealer to look south for stock if nothing available and you can't wait.

Not blaming my dealer, to be clear here, I agreed to wait and see.
Ford Canada should have stock by now in their distribution warehouses.

My first ding was an oversight on my part. Put hitch pin on bumper, then opened tail gate. Dent and scratched paint.

I bought official Ford touchup paint for it, and fixed the paint. Need to see about paintless dent repair to see if the dent can be fixed.
