I thought I read on this site that Ford is honoring the rate at time of order, not delivery date. $8-10,600 is ok with me. Is 2.9 percent still a pretty good rate. I checked with my bank and they stopped doing auto loans. They told me, at least in New Jersey, most banks stopped because there just isn’t enough return for them.
There have been several discussions of this on the forum.

My personal experience (last week) is that they honored the 0% for 36 months rate that was available when I ordered, even though it was no longer available on the Ford website.

Before the 0% rate went away, I had my dealer make an entry about my deal in Ford's "Smart Vincent" system that supposedly reflected the rates I was entitled to, but I'm not sure that was necessary. The finance manager didn't mention it -- just gave me the rate from time of order.

I spoke with my dealer and they too will be honoring the incentive rates at time of order. When I asked, I made sure I asked about the incentive APR at time of order, rather than the regular rates.

When I ordered in October, my salesman said maybe May, but could be August. At the time, I was like, oh that is great ( more time for a bigger down payment). With my Colorado getting MAYBE 22 mpg and gas now over $3.60 even at Quick Check and Wawa, I do wish it was sooner.

I'm with you. I ordered back in June and really had hoped I would have it before rates increased Feb 1, but such is life. Mercifully my truck is in the shipping process and I can still get the June incentive rates, so there's that! LOL

It's just a little lock that helps prevent someone from stealing the tailgate itself. Figured it was worth the $40 to add to my order.

Had no idea people steal tailgates.
Tailgate theft happens. I have not seen much lately but I am retired so probably just isolated from the frenzy! I remember that others as well as myself would stamp our DL number on tailgate so we could get it back from pawn shop or ebay seller, etc. On rare occasion police would call when they discovered someone with a "stash" of tailgates. (TX DL nnnnnnnn) 👍 if tailgate was not stamped you could not prove it was yours so you would have to buy it back from pawn shop! Aluminum ladders were also a hot item (also TX DL stamped)🤗

I haven’t financed a new car in about 16 years and have never been much into financial things, so hopefully someone can help me out. The total price for my Maverick with all the fees is $21,865 plus about $1,600 for the thieves in Trenton. I think the Ford rate was .9 percent for 48 months when I ordered on October 30. How much down payment do I need to be around the $250 a month mark? I don’t expect my hybrid XL to come until May-August. Thank you ahead of time. I really appreciate any assistance.
Just use the build a bear section of the ford.com maverick website. tap the box that says: include sales tax. the numbers it spits out will be accurate enough to get a good idea.

An alternative way to think of it, assuming you have the 10-12k to put as a down payment, is, what could you invest just same money in and yield a higher return, vs putting it all down to lower your monthly payment. Yes, your monthly payment goes up, but there's a balance between throwing cash down and using said cash to invest for greater returns...

What cab configuration, engine, and driveline is your Colorado and what condition is it in? $6,000 sounds a bit cheap for a trade in price if it's a 4WD crew cab. You might look into getting a buy bid from Carmax, Carvana, Vroom, etc., rather than just taking whatever the dealer offers.

I assume Ford has a minimum percentage as a down payment. Anyone know what it is?
$0.

Well, this is an assumption on my part. For my Bronco Sport, I put as much allowed as possible, $2500 on a credit card to get points, financed all the rest (including state sales tax and registration) @ 0% for 36 months. $1005/month payment.

Not to hijack the thread, but this post got me thinking. Does anyone know if the Ford finance offers are good on multiple purchases? I already have one loan (originated in December 21) on a Bronco Sport...was wondering if I could grab some 0% or .9% money when my Maverick comes in.
