Congratulations on your purchase. How much did you end up getting it for?
Why does it matter to you what the OP paid for their truck? Will it increase or decrease your enjoyment of yours, or will it encourage or discourage you from trying to find one of your own? I just don't get it...

It's a normal thing that gets asked when someone buys a vehicle these day? Like it's basic small talk. Yikes on bikes, my guy.

So far it is fun to drive. Unfortunately it isn’t the one I ordered but I don’t regret buying it
So what's different between the one you bought and the one you ordered?

By the way, what part of Ky are you from? I'm a western Ky native myself.

It would be a good data point for the tens of thousands of people wanting to buy a Maverick.....

Anecdotally.....everyone is saying the market is "softening".

Multiple hard data points would either confirm or refute this general sentiment.

Well, I hope you are happy with your Maverick, or if you're still waiting for one, I hope it comes in soon.

I'm quite happy with mine, but still not interested in sharing my financial life in a public forum, and I suspect others feel the same...

Looks like the one parked in my driveway. Are you sure you got it from a dealer lot? Might have brought a big 3D printer down to Texas and just copied mine, then drove off LOL.

Know you will thoroughly enjoy it. Happy Mavericking.

Amen to that. It is no one's business if you paid $5,000 for it or $50,000 for it. Last time I checked some of the posters here were not writing the check for you. Great response and enjoy your Mav, my friend.

Then don't answer the question if you're asked it?

Like we all know what the MSRP on these things is -- so we've already got a ballpark. No one's making judgements on folks financial health. People want to know if folks paid above or below MSRP and by how much because they want to know how the market is doing.

Like this weird hang up about knowing how much money folks have is so strange to me. But I also was poor for a long time -- there's no shame in being broke, and there's nothing to brag about if you aren't. Money's just a thing you have, and not a judgement of character.

Oh, but they are making those judgements - quite publicly (see highlighted portion above). I guess you haven't seen all the posts where someone asks "What did you pay for it?" followed by 25 posts from folks telling the buyer:
  • you paid too much
  • it's idiots like you that are ruining it for everyone else
  • you must be made of money because I would never be that stupid
  • you got ripped off
  • the truck isn't worth that much
  • the XL is the best Maverick and buying a Lariat is stupid
  • etc.
I just get really tired of it. I paid what I thought was a fair price under the current market conditions. Beyond that, it's no one's business but mine (and my wife, who encouraged me to make the deal).

I'm happy with my Maverick. Hopefully you'll be equally happy with yours, at whatever timing and price that YOU decide is fair.

You must be real fun at parties.

And for the record, to put my money where my mouth is, I got pretty lucky -- my dealer honored the $1000 off the price they agreed to back when I ordered it in 2021, and actually with the amount of the private offer from Ford ended up driving down the price even further. I think the MSRP on what I ordered was about 27.5k in 2021, my dealer agreed to 26.5k, and then in the end I got it for about 25.4k... and current sticker would have been like 29.2k (Hybrid, XLT Lux & 360 with Bed Rails, SIBL, and Remote Start). Eau Claire Ford was great to deal with, and would definitely recommend.

I'm glad for you 👍. But next time, take the time to analyze before you reply with a snarky-ass post. I would respect whatever response from the person I asked the question to.

With all due respect , stay in your lane when the conversation does not have ANYTHING to do with you.

Anyways, enjoy your Maverick, Karen.

The only issue I have is when kids jump into grown men's conversations and try to give their two cents when the convo doesn't have anything to do with them...🤔
