My feedback is I think they look dumb, but they look a lot less dumb than tires that stick out past the body and throw spray up in the air.

BUT, I happily support your choice to put them on your truck.

I feel like some colors, the truck just needs more black accents, and that is what I'm trying to accomplish. This if for my cactus gray that is coming. I don't think a color like your blue or the dark gray would need anything, in my opinion. Even my Area 51 looks pretty good, but I just feel like the cactus gray is a bit blah without more black accents.

I think I found them, the 1" They stick straight out, it seems.
Yes and no, as you can see from the Ranger pics I added in earlier response, they do stick out a bit, but I don't know how to describe it, they're not noticeable unless you're really looking hard. It's why I like them, they're a subtle touch, just enough black to trim it out, without being over the top or gaudy looking. At 1", it's not screaming at you that they're there.

The slim ones might fit better and not have the rubbing issues. But the other photo of the fender itself on the arch that looked so bad after removal? That will still happen. That is why these much like a bra for the hood are terrible for the car long term. It traps dirt and moisture. And if you live in a hot climate having that shit behind the plastic when it gets hot will cook the paint also.

Im in Arizona, so I guess these are a hard pass...

Yeah me too. I would be really worried that if I installed them and later wanted them off for any reason that there is just almost no question it would damage the paint

I did a search for fender flares scratched paint and that thread didn't show up.
Just let it go, some people need to be aggressive to feel funny or superior. We all know how to use searches on forums lol. Didn't pop up for me, either, so we're in the same boat.

I'm looking for some feedback. I love the look of fender flares, I think the added black elements really make the truck look nice. I'm wondering if flares on a hybrid would be considered silly? I usually associate these with off-road applications, but I'd like to put some on my hybrid. I'm looking for the lowest profile possible, as it is more for looks. What do you think?
I finally made it happen this weekend. I tried the spray method with plasti-dip but ended up with a subtle edge and protection.

I went with the fender flrers, but thats also because I went with the BAP package on cyber orange so the black is designed to really pop the appearance

I plan on putting them on my hybrid. No offense to others but I personally feel the mav is too blah without the contrast.

my only wish is they made ones flatter. The only ones in familiar with are the bushwaker looking ones and they kinda comically stick out. Isn’t like I’ll be putting massive tires on this thing so wish that wasn’t the case.

Why ford didn’t make black trim around the wheel wells standard like a trd Tacoma is beyond me…. Looks incomplete , stock.
Mabbet flares on my 24 hybrid low profile and looks great!

Hybrid or not, it is an Individual’s personal decision. I have a hybrid and chose to go with Mabett’s fender flares. If you are trying to stretch your dollars, I believe they are the best value currently available.

I have not changed out the OEM wheels and tires on my XLT. Appearance-wise would they look better with larger wheels and tires to fill the wheel well, probably for most critics. I’m pleased with

how the flares compliment the other black accents that I have added to my Maverick. The choice and decision is yours. There is no right or wrong, simply personal preference.
