I'm on the fence, everyone says they'll trap water and dirt - cause rust and ruin paint - but the truck looks so toyish without them lol. Are the OEM, Mabett, Maxzina, EGR?
I’ve never seen any damage like that. Post #11 pictures look like a little wax with cleaner In It would rub that right back to like new.
I’ve never put them on a truck and kept it for ten years.
I only like them if the tire/wheel combo fills out the wheel well and would stick out past the fenders without them.

I am thinking about putting some on my Cactus Gray 24 Lariat. I like em. I wonder how it will effect taking the front bumper off if you need to

I think the EGR ones have the split but you'll have to take these off if you take off your bumper- so if you plan on installing fogs maybe do that first lol.

im thinking more of needing service down the road. It may need some service that requires the bumper come off

Wow,
That third pic looks like scratches.... was it missing the adhesive strip there ? I can see where dust could get in from under lip but I don't see how this dirt could damage the paint. I can see how damage could occur from removing the adhesive improperly could damage paint for sure. Thanks for pics!
The body shakes and shimmies more or less depending on wheel balance. The grit behind the flares acts like sandpaper as it rubs between the flare and sheet metal. This "sanding" process will eventually wear protective film. As long as you keep the flares installed correctly, you shouldn't see any wear. The flare will cover it. I had a 2000 ZR2 that didn't show any wear until I removed the flares. I replaced the flares and the scratches were once again hidden but only because I replaced the factory flares with factory flares. The rough Country flares are made similarly to the ZR2 flares - minimal contact with the sheet metal.

To each their own. To me the fender flares makes the fender gap seem bigger so maybe a drop would fix that.

Ford Maverick Fender Flares installed on 2025 Maverick Space White Lariat Back Side offset Jan 2025
a 2025, but here is the Mabett flares on my 2024 Azure Grey. I got them for no other reason to add some more black to my truck. I really like they way they look and definitely makes the truck look different in a very good way.

I agree. I have the Air Design ones on my Atlas Blue, they certainly compliment the lower rocker and bumper trims.

Dirt may not damage, but sand from the Southern states and salt from the Northern states could cause a problem if not cleaned out.
