Fender Flares installed on 2025 Maverick Space White

I think they look sharp! I considered fender flares when I bought my Maverick last June. Michigan is infamous for having rusted out truck wheel wells due to road salt in winter. I had a 2004 F-150 that looked like that. I asked my mechanic about flares and he said there is the possibility of salt and grit getting in between. He added Ford has been good in eliminating the rusted wheel well problem. I also have a Mr. CarWash membership and I’m pretty conscientious about taking my Maverick there after a snowstorm. So I‘ll end this with “to each their own.”

I installed mabett fenders about a year ago and I am not happy with them. I spilled a small amount of gas on them and the mabett fender flare are stained perminitally also they have a poor fit. When I reached out to mabett, first no response then no answers or solutions. This is one mod I would not do again and will not buy any more mabett products.

I'm on the fence, everyone says they'll trap water and dirt - cause rust and ruin paint - but the truck looks so toyish without them lol. Are the OEM, Mabett, Maxzina, EGR?

I think the flares themselves look nice but to me it makes it look like you need more tire under there for a proper look. Its almost like it "exaggerates" the gap and makes stock tires look like rubberband tires(apparently thats a thing now days as ive seen lifted trucks with 20"+ rubber band looking tires.. presonally looks horrid and make me laugh every time i see it..but to each their own ...this maybe it on purpose I dont know). id like to see those with a beefier tire that fits. If there is such a thing.

I had a 1982 AMC Eagle SX/4. Those have factory painted Krylon flares. They had a rubber trim attached with staples to hold it onto the flares. I took mine off after a couple years to paint it 2 tone. There was wear marks where the staples rubbed into the paint. I left the flares off because it looked better and gave more clearance for bigger tires. Had to put the stainless trim back on because of the holes in the body to hold them on. I put silicone and used 2 small stainless screws on the ends to hold them on.

I plan to put 19" BFG Trail terrains on mine when the stock tires go out but yeah they'd look better with meaty 15s or 17s. I really wanted the XLT trim but it didn't have all the features i wanted and financially didn't make sense to go with a custom order XLT vs the on lot Lariat i got haha.

I probably won't ever do the fender flares or i'll wait until 2028 with the new refresh to see if i upgrade/keep

Hi , I like all the photos of fender flares , I recently installed mine from Maxina thru Amazon and I just want to say that I love them.
The fit and finish is spot on , great instructions, installation tool included along with extra clips just in case you need them.
If you are interested there is a installation video on the Amazon listing. These only ship with reflective strips on the front but it seemed unbalanced so I bought a set of really nice reflectors on Amazon and overlayed the front and added to the back.
I am including a photo of a 25 GM truck with reflectors so
maybe this will become popular.
I also have an Explorer and it came with basically the same flares.
I am not worried about underneath them and I don’t plan to remove ! Thanks

The thing I read about these are that they were designed to go with their mudflaps or else they don't cover the entire well- that's why you can see the sliver of white.

How can you NOT be bothered by the sliver of white? Just seeing that visual imperfection gives me anxiety so bad that it’s causing my OCD to flare up.

Eventually that "clear coat etching" will turn into bare metal if abrasive like road salt or sand are present.

Then the fun begins. Film protection is a must in most environments.

Well, if you live in a state that sees the sunshine 3 months a year, yes, you will have problems with snow and salt. And it is way too cold to wash it off 9 months of the year.
