My beautiful truck received an ugly door ding today. I didn’t plan to get anything for the fenders as I only saw the ones with bolt design and I don’t really like it. Now that I have this ding, I’m looking for plain ones like this but not at this price. https://accessories.ford.com/products/air-design-satin-black-fender-flares

Any recommendations?

Ouch sorry to hear about the ding. I also have a few rock chips in the wheel arch area and wanted something that wraps around the painted lip of the wheel arch and tucks into the fender liner. I’m in the same boat and don’t want to spend over $600 for 4 pieces of plastic

Until they come up with a cheaper version, you can do what I did to the fender edge.

Look carefully at the picture to see the Dawn Enterprises trim molding.

Those are the first set of fender flares I have seen for the Mav that I like. Can't say I like the price though. That is outrageous for 4 pieces of plastic IMHO

I just ordered some on Amazon. They are Mabbet fender flares for Maverick. I paid $127 for the set of 4 but will go back to $149 probably in the next day or two. I will see how they look. It says no drilling required I believe.

Whatever flare you choose, make sure that you touch up the bare metal with a paint stick to stop any rust from forming under the flare.

I have the Bushwacker flares, and they are really wide. The stock wheels and tires look pretty far in as a result. See the attached pic. They do a good job of protecting from door dings and thrown-up mud, and partially work as a high-mounted mudflap. The latter is important in Canada, where mudflaps get torn off in the ice and deeper snow ruts. The fit is slightly off at the bumper cover, although you need to get really close to see the misfitting.

Here is a previous review of the options:
