I really like the window shade from ford. Like the thing that they don't extend out like others and got to use pass points to purchase.

Yeah there’s a lot of people on here that don’t like them, I personally do because they are styled different but I put mine on the rubber to same height as mirror (not the painted part) and I have had to re-tape a few of them I must not have cleaned good enough the first time.

Appears this is the double sided tape attachment to the door frame vs. the window channel version.

Please advise on durability and long term attachment.

Yes double sided tape was informed that it is bad for window mechanism. Have used the shades on other vehicles, the only problem I have seen is they do not like automotive car wash. They will turn them dull.

Those do look nice. More flush than mine.
I got the ones from EGR. I didn't want any adhesive to stick to the paint - or rubber channel.
No double sided sticky tape on the paint - they insert into the rubber Channel - the front ones just stay in with tension, the rear ones do have double sided sticky tape that go into the channel.
The right front one does block the side view mirror a little so as nice as they are that kind of sucks.
However the EGR hood wind deflector is awesome.
(Musology mud flaps).
And the windows go up fine with no rubbing.

Personally I hate the look of the Ford ones. I like the low profile, but I think in channel look way nicer. The EGR ones look nice, but the ones I have seen are pretty loose fitting and seem like they would create a ton of noise. Weather Tech was suppose to be developing some low profile in channel ones, but it seems they aren't any longer. I'm still holding out until someone makes a nice in channel low profile one.

I got the same ones for the exact same reason. I really want to avoid the double-sided tape as much as possible. I do like the flush look of the Ford versions. Other than the double sided tape to apply them, I'm not a fan of how they extend beyond the window opening.

I have the same ones as you, and my only gripe is the slight blocking of the passenger side mirror.
thought about removing to see if I could trim the front ones up a little with a dremel?

this one guy's experience with EGR visors, fit tight and don't make any extra noise and I seldom drive with music. in fact they might be quieter with the windows cracked open without visors.

stepson drove my Tremor last week because he was questioning how his Tremor acted during the 7-8 shift/torque converter lockup. Was the same as his but remarked my truck seemed quieter especially the tires but his is still at factory air pressure. Both Lariats, his doesn't have visors.

I thought the same exact thing about the dremel! But I'm pretty sure I would ruin them that way. They should have molded or trimmed the front area.

I would love to know if they help control the buffeting that happens when only the driver's window is open. That drives me nuts and I end up leaving the window closed to avoid it. For now, the only way I've found to stop that resonance is to open another window like the right rear one.
