I don't like the dial and picked up a new F150 shifter to give it a go. My Maverick is a 2023 XLT with the 2.0, AWD, and the 4K and FX4 packages. I have an aFe CAI on order and will be installing some other upgrades as well.

The 21-23 F-150 shifter works on our trucks. It requires some trimming of the console but the plug is the same and it drives like normal. Haven’t hooked up the paddle shifters but I assume the shifter buttons will work once wired. This is temporary until I make a better mount but it fits and works. I’m going to make a panel for the brake and drive modes in front of the center console.

First of all, I love the F-150 shifter. But I do have a few questions. 1. Did this throw any can-bus codes? 2. Would this work in a Maverick Hybrid? 3. Can you share a more zoomed out photo of the shifter and console?

I was going to ask the same thing. If this can work on the hybrid I might dig into doing it. And I agree with the previous post. There are some things I have seen in MaverickTruckClub that I really like. I won't do most to my truck, but I can still like what I see. At least we are all putting our creative minds to work to improve the Maverick. I've done stuff like this to every car I have owned. As an example, with the first car I drove (69 bug), I put in a short shifter after market mechanism. Hated the long walking stick style that came wth the bug, Plus the throw was so much faster and cooler! Anyway, I like this mod. Hope it can work with the hybrid.

Do all the functions of the F150 shifter work in the Maverick?

Here’s the finished cover with mode selector mounted. E brake in place of trailer brake (I don’t tow with it) If you need the trailer brake, the bezel is a separate pc so you could buy one and mount it underneath since it’s a perfect fit for the switch. I’m gonna send this off to be made in one pc and get a batch made for those doing the swap.

Looks great! Will these be on your website when they're available? Doing any other looks other than the carbon fiber?

Would have been nice if they reached out before posting a half baked article with day 1 pictures. Yes I used door trim around the shifter but you would think it was OEM after seeing the finished product.

Also after them writing an article about my 2.3 swap they should know that nothing about my truck is “hacked”. The comments on that article show that people still see the Maverick as a fleet vehicle with steel wheels. I would love to reply to each one of those but it’s a waste of time.

At the risk of sounding like I’m tooting my own horn and I’m sorry if I do(those who know me personally know I’m quite the opposite)….I’m OCD and a picky mofo. My truck is one of the best built Mavericks there is. I’ll rephrase that as Performance built because there are several bad ass trucks (Kenny’s comes to mind as well several SEMA quality bagged or lowered trucks)

The article makes it sound like I hacked together a truck with scraps when In reality every part from another vehicle was chosen for a reason. Until another Maverick comes around with a better combination of show and go parts, all the haters can suck it.

Sorry for the rant I’m just tired of all the negativity when all I’m doing it working to bring as many Maverick parts as I can to the table.

Anybody who uses the word "mofo" is ok in my book!! And yes, this is why I like OCD people. Your attention to detail is awesome!

I've heard there is a video of this swap, but I haven't been able to find it. Is it really out there, and if so - can someone direct me to it?
Thanks!

Same. I prefer the rotary but I do encourage people to do what makes them happy
You won’t like it much once your leg brushed up against that rotary dial shifter and puts it in neutral while driving on the interstate doing 70 plus ,I hate that rotary dial . I will be changing mine out this week , just got a new 2021 F150 Fold down Shifter to replace the ( KNOB)
