Hello,

I have been having this annoyance for some time now, and wonder if anyone else has found the remedy.

Upon acceleration and coasting, i can hear a subtle rapid-clicking noise that can only be compared to what was heard when we put playing cards in the spokes of our bicycles. It’s a rapid/cyclical ticking that almost sounds like the playing card would need to be made of metal. I’m thinking it could be an exhaust rattle, but I really can’t see anywhere it touches or anything loose.

One note is that I can’t hear it unless I’m driving slow in an area that echoes, like next to car or in between walls

Any help here is greatly appreciated, as this probably wouldn’t be covered under my warranty, and I don’t feel like taking it to the dealer over it. Thanks!

Others have reported walnuts or rocks getting trapped between a brake rotor and its backing plate. Inspect these areas.
I also suggest looking under your truck to verify all heat shields are secure and not flopping around or rubbing the drive shaft or exhaust.

If it is something that is not correct and actually does need repair it might be covered by your warranty if applicable (mileage/age). The issue would need to be checked out by the dealer with a test drive so they can hear it. I get it, no one likes going to the doctor.
