Any update?
Delivered yesterday - dealer said they typically will prep it the next day (today) so should be ready for pickup later today or tomorrow. I'm 1.5 hours north of the dealer so I'll have to figure out the best time to go pick it up. I'll have to do my financial paperwork over the internet/phone with Chapman PA today as they were the ordering dealer.

Hate to leave it there long as I'm guessing the sales people will start using it as a demo for people to sit in since they don't have any on their lot. Don't know why but can't stand the idea of random people sitting in it :)

Hello fellow Maverick Owners/Want to Be Owners!

I closely monitored my Maverick shipping progress from the factory in Hermosillo, Sonora to Portland, Oregon via rail and then vehicle transport from PDX to Mullinax Ford in Olympia, Washington.

Below is a graphic cataloging the journey. The email from Ford notifying me that my truck was shipped initially said 12-28 days. The tracker said 12/18/21. Which would be the 29th day. Better than the "Up to 6 weeks" I was hearing a few months ago that should be typical.

It started out making very fast progress. I thought it might be very early. It made it 3/4 of the way in just 5 days! My first Union Pacific trace said it was going to make it to the Transporter Yard in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, November 27th. That didn't happen. In fact, it stopped for Thanksgiving for 8 days. Then it blew past Portland and started to go up the Columbia River Gorge!!

Then when it finally found its way back to Portland, It took 4-1/2 days bouncing between yards, before finally getting across the city to the correct yard. And then it took a week to get on a Transporter. Two days before final delivery, the Ford Tracker pushed out my delivery date to 12/21. However, it didn't actually need that extra time, beating the original delivery date by two days.

All in all in took 27 days. Pretty darn close to the Ford tracker delivery date. I had a lot of hope along the way for improvements when I saw very good and promising schedule updates. All were dashed at some point.

Hopefully this information will help you all and set your expectations accordingly. Nothing like this existed out there when I was awaiting delivery. Let me know if you have any questions about my experiences or tracking your own shipping. From date of initial reservation, subsequent order and final delivery, it was exactly 6 months to the day.

The wait was worth it. I love my Maverick! See you on the roads out there in our beautiful region!!

Ours left Hermosillo on the 8th and has been sitting on a siding east of Portland since the 23rd. After a brief stop in Portland coming north it went east to Hinkle Yard prior to returning west.

Just under a month. Not bad. About the same duration as me. Although sitting at Barnes Yard for 10 days is longer. And I was frustrated by that! Thanks for posting your experience. Hope you love your Mav as much as I do!!

I use it to reference The Super Region of Pacific NW and British Columbia. I work in Government and we do cross border agency cooperation and drills with BC and Oregon. We refer to the region as Cascadia with Canada. As their region is SW, our is NW. The compass direction is relative.

I am not familiar with the context you are referring.

I've only heard of Cascadia in the context of breaking up the US into several regions and annexing British Columbia to form a socialist state. Not trying to be political on this forum, but those I've seen use that term in the past have been referring to this context.

Any idea on what might be keeping it in the rail yard? I was shipped 12/8 as well with an original delivery date of 1/6. I figured I'd be in with a couple of you guys. On the 5th it changed to the 10th,on the 10th it changed to the 16th. As far as I can tell it's still sitting in the pdx yard by the OP's info. Any thoughts?

If it's just sitting there at Barnes Yard, It's most likely waiting for an auto transporter to accept the bid and pick it up to deliver to your destination. Auto transporters are pretty thin right now and will take the highest paying runs. It's causing a distribution backup. Some regions worse than others. Mine sat a week at Barnes Yard. 2+ weeks wouldn't be unusual, though frustrating.
