I've read that a HUGE chunk of PHEV owners don't bother to plug in after the first month or two. Like 70% after a year of ownership weren't bothering to plug in...
Exactly! It would get old real fast having to unplug anytime you went somewhere and then plug back in when you returned.

Someday people are going to realize that Elon, like the king in fairy tales, has no clothes.
He is selling snob appeal junk.

I'm guess I'm in the 25% because I plugged my Volt in every night when I came home from work.

The Plug was right on my garage door. I pulled up to the garage door got out of the car plugged it in and walked in the house. When I left to run up to the store, unplug it close the charging port and hang the cord back on my garage door handle.
Question I have for you is. Have you ever owned a plug-in hybrid?

Exactly.
Now a Maverick PHEV is a solid yes. 👍
PHEV's are a paradox.

Sounds good on paper.
Works poorly in real life.

Not great at anything.
Mediocre at everything.

Fits the niche of very few owners.

EV's are better than PHEV. For most.

You only have to plug it in once every 300 miles or so. Drive 30 miles a day like most people and you only have to plug in once every 10 days.

Not different than adding gas to your gas only truck every 10 days.

THERE ARE MORE CHARGING OPPORTUNITIES than gasoline or diesel refueling opportunities. WAY MORE.

There are remote places without electricity. But do those same remote places have gasoline pumps?

Probably not.
