A new maverick, 1k miles, and now the engine light is on. Anyone have this happen? It should be an easy fix, new vehicle, right?

Is it the yellow engine light, or is it white?

Yellow (first pic, it's on the right side of the instrument cluster) is the "real" check engine light, grey/white is the indicator that the ICE is running (is grey when it's not, second pic).

Wow - no wonder there are complaints on that subtle difference not being useful.
Oh well, pre-25MY show- that by way of the EV coach and EV gray bar, which causes confusion too.

I think your 1st pic is why it's useful for a driver with new vehicle to get a picture/video of the dashboard right as Acc mode is used to know what lights are possible, since it's on the multi-point inspection to confirm all the icons light.

Or use Engineering Mode to confirm them. But ya gotta know what's possible to figure out what's missing.
I'm kinda wondering about that extra space under speedo now - seems like more should be there. hmmm

@mavtruck has not come back. Inquiring minds want to know.
Good day, El Kabong

It looks like we might not get feedback as to the stated issue. Some join, get a few answers they are looking for and then are gone, until they need something else answered.

I imagine one of the posts submitted in an attempt to assist helped and that is that, nothing to let us know that the issue/solution was found.

It is kinda nice to know what the right answer for the initial post was, though! I look at it this way, that is the payment for the peoples time who respond, by letting us know that it was answered, and by who. This in many cases can help us learn.

I guess I have an enquiring mind as well. :)

Have a good one, and you never know,. We might find out eventually (if they come back and read our posts?)

Andy
