My 22 Maverick Lariat Hybrid ( 31,000) miles, power steering started to lose assist at low speeds then quickly lost all power steering. Dealership says the steering column must be replaced since the electric power steering is actually park of the column. The steering column is back ordered and there is none available in the world, they found one being shipped to Texas and tried to make a deal for it to fix mine but the guy had been waiting months for it and would not give it up, ( I don’t blame him). So now we just wait. Up to now I’ve had no issues with my Maverick, love that truck..

It's ridiculous that a part can't be pulled from the production supply to the assembly plant. Maybe you should contact Ford and pitch a bitch. The dealership won't do it, it's only a warranty repair to them.
Maybe @fordmotorcompany can chime in and help you out.

Several threads of Maverick owners waiting months for warranty/repair parts while Hermosillo breaks production records each month. While some have explained it as "just the way it is" regarding parts inventory allocation and such, it sucks for the vehicle owner. If new production parts allocation trumps supporting your customer base, then that's indicative of how well (or not) the manufacturer supports the customer. This one's on Ford.

GOOD NEWS dealership last week said it would take months to get replacement steering column, then it showed up at the dealership last night and should be installed by end of the week. Thrilled to get my truck back.
