Hello everyone. I just finished lowering my maverick using eibach springs. I also ordered the camber bokt kit too. I go get an alignment friday. Where do the eibach camber bolts go if needed on the the front suspension to correct anything? To me it doesn't look like anything was thrown too far out of whack after getting it back together. I'm a visual learner so pics to where those bolts go would be great. Thanks

They replace the top bolt used on the lower part of the strut. One for each side of the vehicle. You'll probably need adjustable links on the rear as well.

I'm sorry I should've stated I have the FWD maverick. So I won't need Adjustable rear links. I do have the problem now of finding a reputable shop to perform the alignment. Brakemasters doesn't have the specs so they won't touch it. Pep boys won't touch it because the said since it's been lowered the stock specs don't apply anymore. I hope the dealer will call back saying they can do it....waiting on a call back from service advisor. The only place I did find was a performance shop that specializes in alignments on lowered vehicles. The only thing is they don't go off of any specs for the maverick. He said he goes off experience from doing so many alignments on lowered vehicles. I don't know if that can be trusted??

When you had the alignment done did you need to use the eibach adjustable camber bolts or were they not needed to get it back into factory spec? Thanks
I'm not sure about the front, as the adjustable bolts were in place when the alignment was done. I assume they were needed to put it in spec. I had not purchased the links for the rear and the best that the tech could do was 2 degrees out of spec. He advised me to find the adjustable links.

I lowered my 22 XLT Hybrid 2 years ago(eibach).I then paid FIRESTONE $200 for a lifetime alignment.They did not have a problem aligning it(all were in spec).I purchased the camber bolts but did not install to see if it was affected...Camber was not out and I think caster was out 1 degree.Even tire wear (2 years later) so I guess they know what they are doing.Going for another alignment this week.

Why wouldn't correcting camber be necessary on a FWD that was lowered? It is just like a lowered passenger car.
The rear suspension on a FWD is basically a solid axle and most solid rear axle vehicles have little to none alignment adjustments from my experience.

The rear suspension on a FWD is basically a solid axle and most solid rear axle vehicles have little to none alignment adjustments from my experience.
I did not realize the FWD models didn't have independent suspension. Thanks.

Good to know. Did you take your truck to a large chain auto repair shop or a small mom and pop shop? No shop here really wants to do the alignment....not even the ford dealership I bought it from. They all tell me to take it to this one custom shop that specializes in alignments on lowered vehicles. My main concern with that shop is when I talked to him asked if he has the specs for our trucks and he said he doesn't go off factory spec numbers. He goes of years of experience. My kinda iffy about that myself. Your thoughts on that?

I just had my '24 XLT Hybrid aligned after I swapped the springs to the Eibach kit.
