Can someone translate the last part of the message on the tracking for me.Does railcar number change when it switches carriers my old car number is TTGX706524 but I can't really understand the message when I call in. Last update from chat was transferred carrier in east saint Louis IL
Looking at pa-outdoorsman's rail history and order timeframe gives me hope that mine is very close, I may actually see it soon if the planets align correctly. To everyone else patiently waiting nobody can currently call us impatient as I think its been put to the test.Come on, Norfolk Southern! Get it the last little bit and get my truck unloaded so it can get to the dealer!
Today is day 314 since I placed my order, so I don't think I'm impatient. I see your wait has been well over a year. It's been a long wait, so why wouldn't we be anxious to finally take delivery?Looking at pa-outdoorsman's rail history and order timeframe gives me hope that mine is very close, I may actually see it soon if the planets align correctly. Not realizing tracking the rail car was a thing and stumbling on this thread, I feel I have good hopes that mine is close.
Currently sitting at 449 days I don't think most of us are impatient if we are still waiting. I think the worst part of the wait is everybody that knows I ordered one has been asking me every turn if I got it yet. We are on the home stretch a little more wait is not unbearable knowing it existsPersonally, I am crossing my fingers I can see my truck before day 320. But even if not, another week or two won't kill me. Still, knowing just how close the truck is makes it hard. Honestly, my rail car is probably less than 70 miles from my house right now...
There is a mechanical defect on the rail car. Most issues found in an inspection can be resolved with very little downtime.Does anyone know what "bad ordered" means in reference to a rail car? As of yesterday the rail car was en route to Tampa with an ETA of December 10. Now CSX says the rail car number was "bad ordered" in Louisville, KY with no ETA. Anyone know what this means?
I got a Bad Ordered out of Louisville on 23 Oct. Next showed up as Repair Track in Baldwin, FL on 25 Oct. Then showed up Constructively Placed in Tampa on 26 Oct. Trucked 5 miles to Brandon Ford on 2 Nov. Our Mavericks were rail shipped wrong. They should have gone to Texas then Florida. Instead they went to Arizona to East St Louis to Louisville to Florida. Mine was built 31 Aug.Does anyone know what "bad ordered" means in reference to a rail car? As of yesterday the rail car was en route to Tampa with an ETA of December 10. I have to say I was completely confused as to why they added 50% (1000 miles) to the trip by sending mine to Chicago. Particularly with the diesel shortage. Glad to hear it's not necessarily a long delay.I got a Bad Ordered out of Louisville on 23 Oct. Next showed up as Repair Track in Baldwin, FL on 25 Oct. Thanks - that makes sense. Louisville appears to be a popular spot to break downThere is a mechanical defect on the rail car. Most issues found in an inspection can be resolved with very little downtime.
Train companies don't get paid until the shipment arrives, so they are generally motivated to get it there.
Logistics is weird. The spoke-and-hub design works, for how counter-intuitive it may seem.I have to say I was completely confused as to why they added 50% (1000 miles) to the trip by sending mine to Chicago. Particularly with the diesel shortage. Glad to hear it's not necessarily a long delay.
I'm still in somewhere in the Illinois train yard labyrinth! As of 7am this morning my Mav is somewhere in Ohio.
