I couldn't agree with this more, literally just an overcharged flat piece cut on a cnc or stamp machine of some sort. Couldn't justify the price.
Ordered a set of these and we shall see how they do. 😀
It really differs person to person. Do you need /want the extra power, AWD or tow capacity? If so go for the EcoBoost. If you need/want more efficiency with the benefit of a truck bed then go for the Hybrid. My buddy has a Hybrid and he loves it.
Honestly if the AWD was offered with a Hybrid I...
Most of his videos consist of tool reliability comparison. The guy does do some good comparative reviews regarding robustness and reliability but I agree this does not answer engineering issues between different motors
That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. If you prefer your vehicle not preform overall optimally than that is your choice.
As previously stated, I am going to follow the manuals recommendation of optimal performance. I want my vehicles to last so that is what I will do. I played...
This feels like a long beaten topic in this forum but my response is that I will follow what the owners manuel suggests. Premium for me is fine I will burn the extra cash for piece of mind.

I have no qualms against the Hybrid but I opted for the EcoBoost for the following reasons.
AWD: This was the biggest thing, I got this because I do a lot of outdoor activities like mountain biking and snow sports. Previous car being a Mk7 GTI I wanted AWD. I took that GTI places it had no...
Looks like a lot of fun and I really like how you have your Maverick kitted out.
I have a 2022 with the FX4 package and have the Scorpions as well. Originally I thought I would be getting wildpeaks but alas people are right unless you purchased the upgraded set of rims in addition to the FX4...
Good idea, but too rich for my blood.
For that price you could get a decent camper trailer well within the tow limit even more so if you have the 4k package.
Had a handful comments on the Maverick since receiving mine in December.
The majority of people just see vehicles as an appliance and most will just see a small pickup truck so I don't expect conversation. That being said I have taken it to Cars and Coffee on some of the days that I did not...
If it was my fault, I would still own up to it like a proper human being.
The person that hit me was more in line with wanting to hit and run, so yeah worth every penny.
Not a big fan of how it sticks up in the center of the window. I like my Garmin 47 Dashcam cause it can hide out of sight behind the rearview mirror. Also paid for itself when a lady turned left and cut it tight driving into me while I was at a stop sign and tried to leave.
I was expecting to see something tacky on the side of the door but this is a good idea and is installed in a very clean fashion. Good job.(y) I shouldn't judge a post by it's title.
Took delivery of my Velocity Blue Maverick last week on Tuesday after a 465 day wait, thoroughly happy with it so far. Had just over a week to romp about in it and even had some snowfall. A bit different from my 2016 GTI I had as my daily prior but surprisingly not by much as far as handling and...
In PA it is not mandated and can readily find it at various stations but I can't speak for other states.
I only run Ethanol Free in my 1973 bug as it tends to run worse with ethanol. It's an older vehicle which was never designed for it. I notice a major performance dip with ethanol added fuels...
Christmas was fantastic time spent with family, my Maverick showed up on Tuesday the 20th after the lengthy 465-day wait. Not disappointed with the Maverick.
Anker makes pretty good cables, I would try to find one with a fairly robust cable so it can take some abuse from moving around. I assume it is either USB-C or Micro USB. Once I got a decent one I had no issues since and keep a spare in the glove box.
You can pick them up fairly cheap at...
