As I am a newbie I hope my post turns out okay. I have read about some confusion as to the parts required for the Ecoboost engine cover. My pic of the ball stud looks a little sketchy but hopefully it will suffice. The part that seems to give the most trouble is the driver rear ball stud. Use part #AA5Z-6N958-A for a perfectly flat fit of the cover.

Cover #K2GZ-6A949-A
Pass rear stud #AG9Z-00812-D
Driver ball stud #AA5Z-6N958-A

I have included a pic of the ball stud. The other stud is listed and shown when you search for the engine cover.

Also a few pics of my fully loaded Lariat, ordered July 15th, built October 8th, delivered January 22nd. only have 250 miles but so far I love it. It is as I had hoped, a perfect replacement for my sedan as it is the ultimate utility vehicle. More practical than a similar sized suv for me.

Looks great! Congrats. You need a pic of the engine cover lol. Doesn't the cover come with the bolts? Maybe get pics of where the bolts go? IDK

Thanks. Are the quanities of the bolts/ball studs all one each? I might order these parts at the dealer for when mine comes. Maybe a complete parts list to do one unit? I appreciate it.

At the very beginning of the thread is the parts list, and yes, these are single part packs. Should be able to get all 3 items for ~$100.
Here you go...
Cover #K2GZ-6A949-A
Pass rear stud #AG9Z-00812-D
Driver ball stud #AA5Z-6N958-A

Thanks. Ordered the parts yesterday to add to my growing pile of mods sitting in boxes waiting.

Thanks for the part #'s @Petar the Serb! I ordered the three you listed in your OP from Tasca Parts and can't wait to get it installed.

No it's just for looks. The only thing that might make the engine noise less audible is hood insulation but no one has confirmed if one fits from another vehicle in Fords line up.

That’s subjective, I didn’t find it excessively noisy without the cover, however it is quieter with the cover.

It’s just unusual for a newer model vehicle not to have a cover. I understand the cost savings goal but it’s just kinda unfinished under the hood and it trips some peoples trigger as it looks like spaghetti. Just my opinion…

Agreed, even our old 2009 Pontiac Vibe had an engine cover and it was as base model as it could get even down to the 5-speed manual transmission.
