I've contacted four Canadian dealers I've got the following:

1. "There is no such thing as a Ford Maverick"
2. "Call us in 2022."
3. "Let me get back to you on that."
4. "Uh, Ford sent us a sales sheet on that and we don't understand it."
5. "Go to the Ford website." "The website directs me to you." "Uh, you have to use the website."

Is there any Canadian dealer that has an IQ over 80?

I did an online "order"... I got a callback from a sales guy in less than 2 hours. Now... I'm still not 100% settled on my configuration... but I was impressed!

I think you have to go in person and make them look! I did this to my local dealer (in the USA, not sure if Canada ordering is different) and initially they said it wasn't available to order yet. When I told them orders have already been placed, he looked a bit more and was able to find the build sheets and where to order it. I think likely they are misinformed about the information available.

I'd show up to their door and insist, politely, that they do the work to order your vehicle! I was in and out in 20 minutes with a confirmation email from Ford of my order.

Same...no way was I going in person.
And that, of course, excludes dealers like Granger and some of the others on this board and that of the Bronco. THOSE dealers are top-notch and a pleasure to deal with, discuss, etc.

You're doing better than me, I made 2 reservations used different dealers and have not heard from either of them.

Is business really that great they can ignore somebody who wants to order a vehicle (not just test driving/ looking)? seems crazy to me.

I'm getting the same reaction from dealers in my area. I emailed five of them. I heard back from three. Of those three one said he had no pricing information. I then sent him the order document with option codes and all the prices, including dealer hold back. He wrote back saying he meant he did not have information from the dealership itself about what they would sell the truck for. It was a lame excuse for not really knowing what to do. The others were really no better. I blame Ford for not preparing their dealers properly prior to launch. The few dealers who understood the importance of being ready for the onslaught of people interested in this truck are too far from me to deal with. I may just have to order the truck with Ford and wait for some dealership to contact me and go from there.

No, Ford did what they do. Dealers are that dumb. I had to complain to Ford Of Canada to get a dealer to respond to me locally.

They're fat and lazy from selling F150s. Anything else is a bother. Even Ranger.

I emailed my two local Ford dealers. Nothing in return. Looks like I’ll be going to one of the dealers here on the forum actually trying to earn my business. Unbelievable..

My salesman said that the dealer hate it because they lose a high margin sale and high margin service to something for "women and the... poor".

He caught something worse there.
