Drop in Bedliner - Backorder?

Ordered the Ford drop in bed liner with my points.
Called the dealer they are shipping to, and was told that the part appears to be on back order with no estimated in-stock date.

I post this mostly as a warning that we may see more issues with this

I'm going to pitch you on a spay in bed liner, SIBL. I know it is more expensive [and I'm not offering to pay the difference ] but ask your dealer if they will cut you a break since they can't provide what you want. I've had both and find the SIBL far more practical and it absorbs a little noise in the way that undercoating does.

I ordered a dibl October 5 and waited about a month for receipt. Had the dealer install yesterday. At order it was not listed as on back order but this may have changed. Also at install the dibl apparently did not have cut outs or marking’s for cut outs for all the tie down cleats on my Lariat…This was a Ford dibl so not sure about that.

How much did the dealer charge for labor for the install? A local dealer quoted me $450 (labor only), I quickly hung up the phone.

I installed the Ford dibl and had to do most of the cutouts myself.*Very* time consuming but where to cut is marked on the back of the vinyl pieces. Took my time over a period of a few days as you only have one chance to make a cut correctly. Dealer wanted a lot to install - I can see why.

When I ordered mine I ask the dealer if they had someone they dealt with that did their spray in bed liners and he said yes , I ask if they could have it done for me when the truck got there , sure he said . Cost for a Life time warranty liner was $577 .

I ordered install on ford accessories site with the dibl and was charged $60. So I jumped on that.

If the DIBL is factory installed do they cutout the cutouts?
