DRL with lights switch in off position?

Search did not return any results for this so...

Got switchbacks put on configured for DRL with FORScan and noticed DRL only works if lights switch is in AUTO position.
So no DRL in OFF position? Any BCM setting I need to change for that?

Have you put the transmission in Drive and released the parking brake. I noticed mine the DRLs don't come on until moving. No after market changes.

Yes, I did.
I even restored BCM to original state from backup just to confirm that's the way it came from factory - DRL(low beam) are ON only with lights switch in AUTO.
After my changes I get same behavior except DRL for switchbacks white light and back parking lights.

i do fret about the cost of headlight replacement due to lamp burnout (a very stupid design BTW) but i've reasoned that if the use of daytime headlights saves me one minor accident, the cost is well justified.

what you are trying to achieve? Im not sure I really understand. the Maverick's headlight switch defaults to auto every time you get in the vehicle . You can change this so it defaults to off. Do you want the DRL to come on when you unlock the car? Im not sure what it is you are trying to achieve by having the DRL on while the headlight switch is OFF.

Trying to get DRL always ON regardless the lights switch position. I assumed that's how it came from factory but...
I have "last known lights switch position mod at key-on" so...
Never mind... Doesn't bother me much any longer, it is what it is...
