Wanting to add a middle light bar between the DRL on the lariat but seeing other attempts dont turn off with it. So is there a way to make one turn on and off with them?

Other than assuming that's a relay, I've got no clue what to actually do with that.
go on youtube and search
how to wire a 4 pin relay
in your case you use the DRL +12v to switch on the relay

re reading the older posts, it seems like the biggest issue is there is no wire directly tied to powering the DRL. Current theory was that there is a module in the headlights that control the DRL.

If drl + wire is not available then would not the relay + have to be connected to the drl ground pin to detect when the ground is active. (Who cares where the drl control module is only where the current is or is not???)

The basic advantage of a relay is to close a switch powered by a separate power supply with it's own fuze without affecting current in the sampled wire. Ford has not made it easy to figure these things out for several reasons. You and I are not alone.
