Driving Mode Switch ???

My dealer cannot explain to me what takes place in the vehicle when a different drive mode is selected. I have switched the settings while driving and see no difference in handling. Is it just a selling gimmick to make you think you are getting some high tech or does it really make a difference. I would like someone to explain to me what actually takes place in the engine, transmission, or stability on the various selected modes. My dealer has been of no help.

As far as I know it is just an electronic change. The computer adjusts the RPM's and shift points. I know when I go from Normal to Sport, in Sport mode I've observed the RPM's are higher when I am at a stop light idling.

Yep. Things like throttle input response, idle RPM, different shift points, etc...

You'll feel some difference on the gas pedal, and the transmission will shift differently. See the owner manual for examples of why you would select different modes.

Before you ask you have to reset it every time you turn the switch off.otherwise mine would stay on sport.yes,i know ,just push the button
