Driver side Visor with door opener buttons

Much to my surprise my 2024 Lariat Maverick, I took ownership in February 2024 came without programmable garage door opening/closing buttons on the driver side visor. Regrettably I have not been able to locate any after market sources where this item could be purchased. When I contacted the Dealer, the answer was “sorry”! I would greatly appreciate any feedback who I could contact for this item.

Here are options.

I've been running a Homelink visor from a '21 Escape for a couple of years now. It's actually a better fit than the Bronco Sport, the mounting bracket is slightly different on the BS. I've been happy with it. I did install a auto dimming mirror, had a Ford auto dimming mirror left over from an old car and install it, ran a line and tapped off the connection for the visor. The biggest reason I wanted the visor was my Bronco has the Homelink visor along with several other older Fords I had and I just naturally reach for the visor.

A 2025 Bronco works too although it's a tight fit.
Or there are self dimming mirrors that have Homelink buttons on them that you order through Amazon.

You know the old saying about wishing on 1 hand and doing something else in the other? Well i recommend you keep wishing but no one makes suck a thing yet. Several threads on the forum of what others have done to correct this. Me? I put the remote in the cubby next to the infotainment screen.

Same here. I velcro'd it to the top of the cubby. Not really visible from outside the vehicle, either - if one lives where that might be an issue.

If your opener is too big to fit, get a smaller one. This one's not expensive and has good range.

I looked at all the options to add a Home-link to my 2025 Lariat. For me the best option was to swap out the rear-view mirror with a Self Dimming Home link Mirror. Glad I went this route as the Self Dimming feature alone is worth the upgrade. Bought off of ebay NOS Gentex GNTX-1124 for $ 40.00 made my own pigtail to connect to overhead dome / map light plugs.

The HFCHL4 designates this mirror as one of the most recent versions for working with newer generation of Garage Door / Gate openers without having to add adapters to the Openers. This was an important factor for me with newer house garage door and access gate Openers.

I looked for the buttons too! I carry a remote nowadays. Simple technology in most vehicles.
