I'm still new to the Lobo world; I haven't even used sport mode once. I have however used Lobo mode often enough - is there actually some documented difference between the two?

Sport mode is a carryover from regular Maverick models. In my experience, it doesn't produce a noticeable amount of torque vectoring, if at all. The transmission shift logic is also far less aggressive than Lobo mode.

This is my experience also after driving for a year.

I prefer the shift logic of Sport.

I prefer the tighter steering & full time AWD of Lobo. The torque vectoring is definitely noticeable on twisty roads.

Lobo Mode maybe 1 or 2 mpg’s lower than Sport Mode. Every ride I make the choice depending on my mood. If I have a passenger (rarely) it will be Sport with automatic shifting;)

Documentation in the owners manual is minimal. Treat it like a “trade secret” and use AI, forums, YouTube vids, and personal experience to piece it together:)

Unlike the first rule of the “Fight Club”, the Lobo Club will blather on willingly.
