They should all have the locking diff button. Fords AWD can be tricky to get engaged in the snow. Small learning curve involved vs a traditional 4x4
Our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe had the lock button which worked wonderfully when the system was having trouble figuring out where to put traction. It forced it into all wheels and was really good. Not sure why Ford thinks the car needs to try to be smarter than the driver….

Like others on this site have pointed out several incorrect statements made by Doug.. that being said I think he must get paid for every time he said Tremor... I found the review awful and Doug himself annoying as f@#!

Funny guy but he actually got quite a bit wrong.

the interior is not at all the same as the “standard mav”. It’s the same as a BAP mav. Also, the tremor appearance package doesn’t do anything to the interior, only the exterior.

he also should’ve been more clear about it’s capabilities. He once mentioned rock crawling which I’m sure was a joke, but others might not know it is.
He's an entertainer, not a serious reviewer. Never has been one.

Yeah exactly, for those of us who watch his videos on a regular basis we realize that Doug doesn't really review a vehicle. His channel has never been about tear downs or in depth content it has always been about a general overview of vehicles.

Honestly that is what I like about his channel. I don't need to know how the new eCVT transmission works or a piece by piece tear down on the rear locking differential.

I wanna know what the interior looks like, what the interior materials feal like, what the button layout and infotainment screen has to offer, how does it drive on road like a normal person uses a vehicle 95% of the time, ect and that's what Doug is good for.

The fact he made another maverick review means he enjoys its quirks and features. I enjoy his videos- especially ones on oddball or rare cars. He is just a guy who has a love for the automobile. I wouldn’t use his reviews for my car buying.

I already tested the benefit of 4wd lock on a frozen incline. Without the lock, made it part way up and spun out without the truck figuring out how to get going again. With the lock, made it without spinning out. Because of the lock, I was able to maintain momentum and not stop, which is a huge advantage.
More anecdotal testing to come.
Yep- With my FX4- Momentum is gonna be needed- No lockers here just like our Honda Element- Just gun it and hang the F on -
