Yes, that is an indicator that the 12v battery voltage is low. On all Ford vehicles, that happens when the battery is in a discharged or slightly discharged state and will go back to normal once the 12v battery is fully charged.

It could be an indicator that your Maverick has the wiring harness issue which there should be a recall for that causes the battery to drain. Lots of threads about that issue on this forum. If you have the FordPass app, you will also get notifications on your phone that say "Deep sleep mode".
Ok, I understand, but why when I open the door does it immediately resolve?
This mav has only 1 week and a Half.

I hope dont have that harness issue.

I just went to the Mav, and opened the door, I grab a Tester, and check battery voltage, it has 12.6Vols With engine not running.

When I opened the door the Chime was in "high pitch", I closed the door and opened again, it fixed, and battery voltage was the same.

Resurrecting an old thread because this has been happening to me. The chimes only play on the dash speaker, and I'm concerned.

I've recently installed a Kicker HS-10 all-in-one amp/subwoofer. Could I be draining the battery and causing this? The unit is set to turn in with DC and high-pass signal input so it should, in theory, shut off when not in use, unless I'm missing something.

Is there anything else I should be looking for?

As long as it was wired correctly, it shouldn't be draining the battery even if the car was parked for a couple weeks.

I later found out the cause of mine to be the Hybrid Wire harness issue/recall draining my battery. But a lot of people with F150s have the issue too so I don't know.

Just as a follow-up, this weekend I re-wired my Kicker HS10 all-in-one subwoofer/amp combo. I had initially set it up for temporary testing by tapping into the rear passanger speaker. It worked fine, albeit less than optimally.

I'm now tapped into both front speakers and am happy to report that the chimes are playing from the speakers, rather than the dashboard.

I'm assuming it was doing a speaker check on startup and was detecting some weirdness so it reverted to "safety mode", or I had previously loosened a connector in the loom and pushed it back into place while I was fiddling.

I got the weird chime today. It was after I hooked up my DSP and amp to the truck. Granted, I had been working on the truck all day Saturday doing sound deadening, installing speakers, running wiring. I didn't do the final wiring until today when I actually connected the DSP/amp up to the front speaker outputs. I disconnected the rear outputs from the head unit, and am running all signals to the DSP from the front outputs. I ran a dedicated turn on lead(fuse 6) for the DSP/amp. However, it seems my DSR1 is using signal sense anyway :(

I'm not sure if this is simply a low battery voltage issue, or that the truck is sensing the rear speakers aren't connected. I've only had the truck since the end of July, and have never had any issues with it. I hopped in the truck tonight and drove up the street and back with no issues, other than the weird door chime. Do you guys think I should order some dummy speaker load resistors to connect to the rear speaker outputs, or probably just a low battery? I will say, I had the truck on during testing, and I always waited until the engine stopped running prior to cutting it off(so the battery would stay charged). I put all my parts back in the truck, before I read it could be low batter voltage doing it. I will put a meter on the battery tomorrow.

So glad to have found this thread. Same odd sounding chime seemingly random times for me.

I can reproduce the high-chime by having turn-signal either left or right position when key inserted to ignition. So weird.

anyone else get the high-chime when turn signal activated?

thx

Yes! ☝

I just tried this and mine also switches to the "tinny" sounding chime that appears to be coming from the steering column.
