These little trucks can take a lot in the rear(LOL) though i did laugh that my brother when picked up a old chevy avalanche project and the beds haul capicities were the same. Here are some photos of me doing "truck" stuff and ideas what else you can haul

hey nice you can put 4x8 size things in the back! I couldn't put that in my old rav 4!First quarter of mile, kept on watching the rear view dash cam. Then became bolder and bolder

My first "load" was a 4'x8' sheet of 1.5" insulation board that weighed about 5 lbs. But like K5Blazer said, you couldn't put that in a car or SUV. The guy at the lumber store told me to be careful not to over load her. There's always a wise ass out there somewhere. 
Oh, and there was another Maverick there picking up sheets of plywood at the same time. He had a dozen sheets on there and it really didn't look like it was squatting too much. These little trucks can haul quite a bit.
