    Not too much, but the Pinto would get second gear rubber. Pinto cost about $2k. 50 years later, the Maverick cost about $20k.

    In 1972 I traded a red 68 Mustang fastback 289, manual transmission for a new Pinto. Not the biggest mistake I made that year.
