2022 XLT has built in dimmable ambient light in the front console / phone charge area. Ice blue only.

My 25 Lariat has the ambient lighting - but it's half-assed from the factory. No excuse for removing the light you need most (the console / charger bin) and they cheaped out and don't provide any ambient lights in the rear. Maybe it's quarter-assed and they left out more than they put in!

The little USB LED light does seem to do the trick though.

How hard was it to run that cable up there?

Easy.

Had to drill a hole in the plastic coin tray or whatever you call it, but the hole is invisible from any seated position.

Pro Tip: get a short extension cable (ex 6") and leave it permanently attached to the scan gauge ($2).

Get a female / female coupler ($1) and leave it permanently attached to the $69 OBDII cable.

Then there is zero wear & tear on the expensive cord or expensive scan tool and you can remove it daily or whatever.

I usually put mine in the glove box when not being used to not tempt thieves.

Awesome. I assume once the hole is drilled the cable can be fished towards the driver side and . I'll check it out. Thanks again for the pro tip on the cables too
