DIY Modem Replacement?

Yes exactly. At least the electronics…this is my first “new car” I’ve ever purchased and I guess I naively thought parts would last longer than 2.5 years. (I put a lot of miles on it). Also frustrating that it’s not a hard use part like a window motor.

Be lucky yours lasted 2.5 years!! I have a 2025 Maverivk Lariat Hybrid AWD and mine only lasted 6 months!! Then told it was on back order with not ETA for restock. I finally got one ordered last week!!
By the way, the modem also is responsible for in car navigation amd OTA updates. Without it, all updates have to be done at the dealership. Which is a whole different story! Lol

I actually just ordered one from eBay. My Ford dealer told me they can program a “used” part, I think this one came off a totaled truck that only had 3k miles.

Fortunately, mine was covered under warranty. But it's also a company vehicle, so fleet admin would have paid regardless.
If it had been my personal vehicle, most definitely would have got a used one!
