Yup makes such a big difference having the handles, mirror caps, grill bar, and emblems painted. Vs black, just looks so much nicer and a sportier look imo... Big difference from when I brought it home a year ago.

Taking everything off the truck to paint it is so easy, a lot easier and less time consuming than all the added time of masking everything off separately.

I avoided FX4 becuase you couldn't get the BAP, sparing you from the standard XLT or Lariat interior color scheme. Your work addresses the exterior, but your still left with the standard stuff on the interior. I would have sprung for FX4 if I could have had the BAP too.... I suspect they think it would end up a Poor Man's Tremor at that point, so they didn't allow the combinations.
Yep, Hence the title of the post. I only wanted the exterior bits cause the BAP interior seemed like a waste of money considering the whole package was $1k+. would rather have the performance upgrade that FX4 gave for less $$$.

It looks very good. I like that you kept the body colored mirror shells instead of doing them Gloss Black. I took the opporunity to remove my BAP mirror shells and sand them, paint them, and polish them the Hot Pepper Red of my exterior. I also sold the BAP wheels and replaced with Bronco Sport 18" wheels that have a exposed machined surfaces... It's funny... I have less BAP exterior than you do.

I did buy a brand new Tremor XLT Cloth Interior from a Maverick buyer who had his whole interior done in leather at the time of delivery. I thought the BAP ActiveX might be too hot, so I grabbed it as an option. It's not. So, I might end up selling this Tremor XLT Cloth Interior... That would give someone a little bit of XLT BAP bling in the interior, provided they weren't put off by the orange Tremor stitching...

Yeah, some of the FX4 bits would have come in handy in Mexico (under guard, mono shocks, and hill descent) that were missing from 4KTow. It was a hard purchasing comprimise for sure.

Where did you get the retro Maverick stripes for the side?
The stripes are painted on, again using Rustoleum, this time semi gloss black rattle cans. Masked it off, carefully as it is a "reversing" process to get the two pinstripes next to the wide middle. Had the stickers made by a local sign company with black letters over a second "shadow light blue" vinyl. Charged me 40 bucks for the pair. Here's a few photos of the process.

As we live and learn, I should have used black primer as if you look closely you can see the gray edges under the black.
