nope You are spraying at pretty low pressure so its pretty east to contain.

Didn’t want to start another thread, but yesterday I spotted a Maverick on the highway that had a ‘negative’ tailgate lettering. Blackout sticker on the lower part of the tailgate, with the truck name cut out so the lettering was in the truck color. Interesting but not something I would want.

My idea is to lay black lettering down 1st but offset lower and to the right, then a brighter color on top so it looks like a shadow. Not sure if that is going to work for an Atlas Blue, If my order will get built.

Nice job, I would have done it a little different, My hands would be black, sneakers ruined, that yellow hose would be spotted and probably got a little on the wifes car.
Nice little 380 or 9mm there too. Looks like my Ruger 380 with ext mag.

Operates on 40-60 psi @ 5-6 cfm. Ive see good results with slightly lower cfm - just have to slow done a bit to maintain the 40lbs.

Yes the cheap foam ear plugs that you buy by the bottle you can compress those stick them in the holes and spray


Should be plenty to cover a 2x6 - the letters are matte black. They may have reflective - the black letters on white stand out anyway

Nice job. Looks as good as your other truck! Hey did you use earplugs in the drainage holes also so you don't lose your drainage? Also what grit sandpaper? Awesome job!

Thanks !!! Yes I has them in the drain holes as well. I used a medium grit sanding block ( like 150 or 200 grit ) - really medium or fine - just to scuff it up not to remove a ton.

@Redneck Garage I am planning on using the Raptor liner on my Maverick as well.

Was wondering how you think it would hold up sprayed on steel wheels. (Not on my Mav, on the 10 year old Kia I'm giving my son instead of trading in)

I was thinking of just hitting the wheels with a wire wheel for the surface rust and then spray painting them, but wondering if bedliner might hold up better over time.
