Disillusioned with my MY22 Maverick order

it's averaging $3.50 here, where are you that it is 5.79? Bought our prius in 2015 when gas was $2, best time to buy a hybrid when gas prices are low.... you have to be contrarian to get the deals.

Washington state. it was down to $3.79 two weeks ago but has really jumped. I bought my Prius in 2005 kept it for 10 years.

Oh wow, I’m sorry. Thank you for being brave and sharing your story with the forum.

This is a real hard time to have an enjoyable vehicle purchase. The Maverick and Ford as a corp. aren’t unique to these challenging times. They can blame the economy, pandemic, or everyone just wanting some new car joy, but this has led us here. I do feel your frustration and echo it too.

Hey, you’re looking at this one way but on the flip side, you do have the truck coming soon! They always say not to make decisions based on reactionary emotions. Just wait until it arrives and whatever you decide, try to enjoy it. The hard work of waiting is almost over.

Everything is not as it seems. Last year I turned 60 and was diagnosed with a serious but treatable form of cancer (think Michael Douglas). I cashed in everything that I didn't need/want and placed the Maverick order while still in treatment. My thought was something new and reliable to get me through retirement. I've always wanted a Harley so I sold my two Hondas and bought a 2015 Sportster seventy-two. That brings me joy; waiting forever for the Maverick does not.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that I’m sure that experience will make a person try to get the most out of every day, so this whole Maverick mess must be a lot worse for you. I hope you end up getting a vehicle that treats you right!
