If you have a dash mat or clutter on your dash it could cover the light sensor and dim the screen thinking it is dark outside.

Those cluster lights are not at full brightness. If the adjustment is full, then there is something wrong. Headlights in Auto mode? Not "On"? Take it to the dealer to sort out if nothing else suggested above helps. The instruments and the screen should be much brighter.

Everything is full bright... No dealer is touching it considering dealerships ask for my help to solve bigger problems.

My concern is what's already widely known... Not sure why you're doubting me. The lighting differences on the steering wheel between both pictures should give a better reference. The headlights nor auto lights not being displayed on the dash should be an indication to the lights not being on.

Clearly that is not the issue here.

You are asking for advice. We are giving it. I'm not doubting anything you are saying. It is not a widely known issue. My screen is more than bright enough, even when wearing sunglasses. The photo you put up makes it look like the instrument panel is not at full bright. Mine are much brighter. Have you tried the soft reset on the infotainment? Like I said, if nothing else, there is a problem and the dealer should fix it.

Just experienced this today and want to relay it to others to try.

If you're like me the screen is very dim during the day to the point that Google maps is barely usable in satellite mode.

I check my setting and it's as bright as possible.

But today I did something different. I turned down the brightness all the way and.... There was no change. But when I turned it back up the screen got bright!

It's so much brighter now than it was. Not sure what the cause was or if it's just a fluke with mine. But I've noticed mine seemed to keep being dimmer and dimmer over time but was always set the highest. Try it. See if it works for you.
THANK YOU!! I’ll try this and get back..

No, I did not ask for advice. I asked if the Sync 3 screen was brighter.

When in doubt, reboot. Pull the cable off the hot side of the battery for a few minutes and then reattach. Should reboot the computer with wheels.

Worked for me too. Turned ambient, screen and dimmer all the way down then back up again. Much much brighter. Thanks !
