Ford sends the e-mails to Canadians, but they're imperial e-mails. They need to get an e-mail converter to convert them to metric e-mails.

Canadian computers can't read them otherwise.
You’re in Duluth. That’s about (err….aboot) as Canadian as you get in the US. Great town, grew up just north of there in Canada. Use to love driving down there

I've been waiting 466 days as of today. I was told by a salesman I should see my vehicle within 4 months when I originally ordered, I guess he was off by at least a year as I am still waiting for a build date.I have only received 1 of those 45 days emails during this ordeal.

Unreal. And some people still get their back up when I call Ford’s order/delivery system a mess.

At least saying “Good luck, enjoy the waiting game” is honest if that is all they know. But that’s not what I was told. I naively went there in Oct thinking I could buy one on the lot (ok my bad, but I wasn’t on MTC before and didn’t know any other Mav owners….errr….buyers). He said the ones on the lot were sold and there is a wait. We talked about wait time and he even went as far pulling up another customer’s order that was placed in Sept. He had just received confirmation that day (approx 1 month later) of a build date for Nov. He said I should expect the same: 1 month for the confirmation, build date would probably be Dec and delivery was the only wild card he didn’t know but he felt confident it would be Jan. All in all 3 months-ish.
Reason for the rush is I left my company, therefore lost company truck leaving my fam with 1 small crossover. I knew what I wanted to replace the company truck with a Mav so I bought a small used car that I can resale quickly in Jan once I get the Mav. I do a lot of outdoor stuff down snow covered roads Feb/Mar and like to do camping/fishing in some rougher terrain early spring.
So if I back out of the Mav deal next month I can find something else to meet my needs. Unfortunately it will cost more and isn’t exactly what I wanted. As tempting as it is to wait I just couldn’t do it if I knew the dealer misled me. For now I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he know what he’s talked about. But this forum is really making it hard to keep the faith.
Things in the order system really are different this year so far from prior years. Dealers seem to be working correctly within their allocations and have actually been told what their allocations are. Your dealer may honestly anticipate that he's due your truck when he told you you based on his (you should know by now) allocations. Allocations are everything when it comes to actually getting built.

I am hoping he’s right about the timeline and glad to hear things are looking better this year. However, ‘better’ than a complete fiasco is still not good.
The dealer’s first projection was that I would have a build date by now. That has passed. Like I said, still hoping for the best. But I have already started looking at other options because unlike the amazingly patient folks on this form, I will not be here in a year scouring the forum for info in my undelivered truck.

Thank you Kevin.
I didn’t mean to sound as if I were boasting. I was just trying to perhaps offer a more hopeful or positive perspective that things just might be improving since they ramped up production this summer.

I’m new to all of this, and I was just relating my own experience to provide a little encouragement to those who have waited much longer than I have. Hopefully you guys will receive good news soon.

I didn't track my order, but 446 days was plenty of wait and perhaps I could have gone 500 days. No regrets waiting for the 2023 model, though. My county has 1.1 million people and only a handful of Mavericks. With the private offer I got, I think I might be driving for free this year before depreciation sets in.
