No 10 dollar bulbs not on menu, I wanted LEDs and smoked lens got them for 20 dollars and a few minutes of work. Also didn’t need the replacement tailights. This is my truck think it looks real nice makes me happy and that important since I make the payments. Thanks for your opinion though!
High mount brake lights are required, for a reason. Just FYI.

On line scammers troll vehicle sites and can create a plate that ends up giving you parking tickets.
Most drivers are busy driving.
It's not so much a high risk, as it is an easy risk to avoid.
Agree.... in the world of tech, you can just about scam anything.

Its kinda like our RV..... we lock everything up (all doors and a lock on our king pin). All it does is make our 5er less attractive to steal or break in over others around us parked in a storage facility. The locks arent unbreachable by a someone who really wants in, but just makes others seem like lower hanging fruit that arent. And.... it has worked, especially during COVID when lots of theft was going on - others without locks were hit around us but not ours.

3rd brake light is working and just fine the strip lights I don’t use often because it turns off my cross traffic alert.

Did you wire it to the trailer connection or a tail light? Got a link for the leds?

I just ordered a 49” strip for my truck too…

Don’t understand the issue with covering license plates - we don’t cover them while driving and they’re seen by thousands and recorded by flock cams an redlight cams everywhere…
Forged plates used in toll road cameras for "pay by mail" billing. Could be real bummer if used by Uber type driver, etc.

Just plug into port. I want to wire it but don’t know how
You could just splice into the tail light's brake positive and use whatever ground. Having something plugged into your trailer connector disables certain features.

I was wrong, the tail lights use canbus. You would have to run the cable from the 3rd brake light.

Huh? You said you got the low one because the high one wasn't working...

Edit: I must have miss-understood your first post. This low strip was replacing another one, not the high mount?

See this pic for things that get disabled. I wouldn’t want to have these safety features off all the time.

Ford Maverick Did another thing today - 3rd brake light strip installed IMG_3164

That would work if it was just brake lights, but if it's one of the ones that also splits the bar in half for turn signals it's not nearly that easy.

Yeah I forgot it was canbus, would have to use the third brake light.
