After I lost my ‘22 XLT hybrid (Velocity Blue, Lux, 360) in an accident, I picked up on a ‘23 XLT hybrid (silver, no options) as my temporary ride. I have an order in on a ‘24 Maverick in the color and with the options I want (XLT, Atlas Blue, Lux, 360). Regrettably, that means a DIBL rather than my preference to go to LineX after the sale.

I am transferring accessories and mod components from one truck to the next. I have the OEM rail cargo management system from my first Maverick. MY QUESTION - Will the DIBL that will come with the luxury package be ready to receive the rails without additional effort. I thought someone said that the locations for the threaded rail mounting holes are clearly marked on the reverse of the side panels and these must be drilled out as the DIBL is installed. Does anyone have personal experience to be able to answer my query? Is there someway to ask Ford that during the build, prep the DIBL to receive the rails?

If the accessory is not installed at the factory you have to drill attachment points out yourself. There are YouTube videos on how to install it, all you have to do is the reverse. You would only have to remove the side panels, not the entire liner.

Thanks for your response. This is getting to be a pain, going from one Maverick to another and having to start over with the mods.

Having lost a vehicle in an accident, not my Maverick thankfully, I feel your pain.

Bed rail system is available with the DIBL (according to the order guide).

Tim - Thanks for the response. When I totaled my '22, I knew I wanted to replace it with another Maverick. I stripped it of what I could reuse in a new Maverick. That included the bed rail system. I have added it to my current SIBL and intend to transfer it to the '24 once it is built.

From the answer others have provided, it appears the first job I'll have to complete is disassembling the lux package DIBL and drill out the rail mounting holes. PITA! I wish Ford would allow an option to upgrade to a SIBL with the XLT lux package.

MY dealer couldn't figure out how to add it. He said the 61D was nowhere to be found on the computer. Wanted to get it ordered before it was too late so I just ran with it....
