Delay, Plant-Hold in Transit?

My XLT hybrid is coming to NC. Was shipped 05/12, with original ETA being 06/05-06/11.

06/06: My truck is at the final ramp in Dixiana, SC waiting for a truck convoy to the dealership (2.5 hrs away)
06/13: Was put on a”Delay Plant-Hold” and new ETA is 07/05-07/11.


Confused why it’s in a Plant Hold, when it’s not at the plant. It’s probably a mistake and used as a general delay hold, but my main concern is that if it can’t be scheduled for the final convoy to the dealership if it’s in this status. Not sure how that works, but it’s been sitting at the ramp for over 3 weeks.

Was hoping to see if this status happened to anyone else, while in transit and see how it played out for them. Thanks!

Realistically there's nothing much to help with. Apparently delayed or interrupted (one hopes only slightly) in transit.

Shipping time from departure at Hemosillo to arrival on dealer lot of 4 to 6 weeks is not at all unusual.

My timing about the same. I checked VIN or United Road Service and it came back with Delivery receipt notice today. No date so I don't know if this means it is actually at the dealer?

I don't know what it means either but after reading your post I checked United Road Service and mine shows the same thing. Has a load number and destination. At least it's something I guess so thanks for sharing. My maverick was built 5/23 and it shows shipped but no date or any other info. Ford has never emailed me other than when I made my reservation June 2022.

Mine was built 5/25! Just got note the dealer got it tonight and said ready for Wed. Good luck!

It may be on hold awaiting the high voltage cable fix. There is a known issue with hybrids that cause the batteries to drain.

Just an educated guess.

I agree it probably is in plant hold because they need to fix something before title is transferred to dealer. Hopefully it is something that can be fixed by someone at the ramp location without shipping it to an approved location. The cable fix may fit catagory where trained experienced personnel can do repairs better than other less experienced dealer repairs.

Mine has been sitting in Newark NJ for the past 3 weeks (only 2 hours away from me). It was scheduled for delivery between June 20-26th. I contacted Ford today and they said it missed the delivery date and now is in update pending statues. Not sure what that means....

Mine was completed 6/4, and has been sitting in Hermosillo since. Ford gave me a delivery date of 21-28 July… hopefully it gets on a train/ truck soon…
