Damaged While in Transit

Has anybody had their Maverick get damaged during transit? I found out today that the storms in the midwest last weekend caused hail damage to my truck while it was in transit to the dealer. I don't know how bad the hail damage is yet and my sales person hasn't contacted me with the details or what my options are. I'm just trying to get an idea of how Ford has dealt with this type of thing in the past.

My dealer told me at least half are coming in with some kind of damage. They fix them at the dealership body shop before delivery.

mine had damage on both mirrors in the same spot, from rubbing against something. Mine also had a small dent, Nickle size, under driverside passenger window. Pretty sure pre-paint. Dealer had all three small items fixed perfectly. so no complaints, but seems to me hail damage in another category. I dont think just fixing them is acceptable given reduced value from that level of damage, fixed or not. Certainly would absolutely refuse any repair involving putty. If you want your truck and not have to wait again, I guess if it was me, I would asked for compensation equal to the damage sustained by the truck PLUS have them fix it for free. Seems fair given the position they have put you in.

They have some pretty creative ways lately to remove hail dents without any fillers or repainting. Obviously with the help of insurance companies..
