Dealership/ salesman incompetence?

Hello everyone I've been having an issue gathering information on my order. It has finally driven me to make an account instead of lurking on this forum. I ordered a XLT EB FX4 with rubber floor mats. on 11,22,2021 and I keep checking in with my salesman for the typical info, "how many people are ahead of me?' "How many allotments do you guys get?" Every time I ask, my sales man keeps saying "I don't know, or oh we don't do it that way" yada yada. But its crazy because all the outside sources say this should be common easy obtainable information. I've never bought a new car so I don't know the watch outs. I've remained respectful because no one like an asshole especially in a business agreement but I feel as if the guy doesn't even care. any feedback? thank you.

Haha I know this is always up in the air and no one really knows but any guesses on when ill get picked? he said 4 people were ahead of me 1 month ago and they currently have 40 orders.

Some dealerships are forthcoming about sharing information. Some dealerships clutch that information so close to the vest their torsos are perpetually bruised.

The latter doesn't necessarily portend nefarious intent. Could well be they are stuck in a "that's the way we've always done it" mentality and are extremely tardy (or just plain lazy) in adjusting to ordering process changes in the marketplace.

The two questions you mentioned in your OP have never been or have rarely been given out by dealers. Just because a handful of people on the internet were able to obtain this information from their dealer does not make it the norm.

Besides that you placed your order in late November. Stop pestering your salesman with questions like this and just be patient.
