So I decide to call Ford Customer Service for the 100th time ( by the way I haven’t even been offered a T shirt or a key chain for all my contacts lol) and yet again no build date for my plain o’ Velocity Blue hybrid xl with only a drop-in bedliner I ordered in October. They tell me the ROVP was done. And then I ask if my priority code has been changed from a ten to a two? Tim Bartz @fordvideoguy advised months ago to make sure dealer has changed the number from a 19. I checked with the salesman two or three months ago ( time has become a blur) and he assured me my code number had been changed. Ford says it is still a 19.I am sick of calling both my sales guy and Ford over and over and am looking at AT LEAST 11 months for a small truck with NO bells and whistles. This whole process is pathetic. In the meantime, I am spending $400 a month for gas just for commuting instead of getting almost 50 mpg on a $20,000 hybrid. Eight months ago, I never thought a 100 year-old company could screw up this much.

Mine was at 02 for months. Still took 11 months total. The dealer can change priority code in range of 10-19. It really only matters internally to that dealership. Ford is also putting more weight on order date than they usually do.
Ford should move to 02 priority (doesn't matter what priority code the dealer gives it), when they grant the dealer allocation for your order. The dealer may have other unscheduled orders ahead of you.

Ask your dealer how many unscheduled Mavericks they have on order. The code range 10-19 only moves you up or down within your dealer's allocations, not Fords. If your dealer only has your order then the priority code doesn't matter. But if they have a lot on order and you are a 19 then other customers from that dealer with a lower code are going to be allocated before you.

But Ford has also stated they are now going to try and work on older orders first at least where practical, so the priority codes might not matter all that much at this point.

You are paying 400/mo for gas 😭

Ford should put you at the head of the line!

If, as was the case with my dealer, ALL their orders are coded as 19, then it doesn't matter. If ALL their orders were entered as priority 10, wouldn't change things one whit. As others have pointed out above, the 10 through 19 range applies only to Ford selecting production preference among orders within a specific dealership. Note that constraints and dealer allocations still apply; if a dealership still has open allocations within a given month (and also assigns a variety of priorities) a priority 10 with multiple constraints from that specific dealership might be pushed back in favor of a priority 19 from that same dealership with none.
