Huh? Either they "should do it" or "are obligated to do it". "Should be obligated" makes no sense.should be obligated

I’ve had to pursue this in a couple of states. Both had car dealer advertising administrative code similar to this example for Texas:What crime do you think was committed?
Absolutely nothing in OP's situation involves advertising.I’ve had to pursue this in a couple of states. Both had car dealer advertising administrative code similar to this example for Texas:

A simple Google search shows Ford dealers are not required to honor X plan, plain and simple.I’ve had to pursue this in a couple of states. Both had car dealer advertising administrative code similar to this example for Texas:

Please cite the advertisement that OP's dealership produced, and the definition of "advertisement" that describes it as such.I’ve had to pursue this in a couple of states. Both had car dealer advertising administrative code similar to this example for Texas:

Good point, you folks are correct. My situations involved public advertisements. I would assume this would still fall under something like the Texas deceptive trade practices act that would warrant a complaint. Would be interested in learning more from anyone - no doubt I (and many others) will find themselves in these situations again! http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/BC/htm/BC.17.htmPlease cite the advertisement that OP's dealership produced, and the definition of "advertisement" that describes it as such.
In person just works sometimes. Glad it worked out, and they did the right thing.Dealer agreed to honor X Plan Pricing after going in to talk about it.
I don't think I acted like a "Karen," but I just tried to highlight that they've messed up my order/blown me off like 6 times so far and their old salesman had (In writing) told me it was eligible for X Plan which was why I picked this dealership. I probably sounded like a Goober, since I'm not really a confrontational guy, but whatever.
They gave me a handshake on it and said they'd do it. It's not in writing, but I mean I literally have a text from their salesman about it so if that isn't the definition of in writing I don't know what is.
Overall - I'm really happy how it turned out. I'm a dumb kid relative to some of the more experienced people here and despite the order screw up snaffoos, the guy that shook my hand has always done a fantastic job of fixing the old salesman's mistakes. I think it was the sales manager, I'm not sure.
I get that it's just a truck or whatever, but idk man people's words mean things.
Very happy how it turned out and I'm glad they're a good dealership.
Might not even get scheduled since it's a goddamn optioned up Lariat Lux, but hey fingers crossed
