Ford requires certain hardware to be replaced (called OTU "one time use"). It almost always has to be ordered separately. Now dealer says the bolts are for the injector. Wouldn’t you think bolts would come with the new one. Maybe get the truck back on Monday
Truck showing PO304 and PO302 cylinder misfire. Took to the dealership and they wanted to know if the check engine light came on before or after I installed the Magnaflow exhaust. The truck has 16000 miles on it and I put the exhaust on right after I bought it. lol They are pulling the intake tomorrow? Anyone else having problems, I see misfires on the hybrid on here.
Oh crap. Yesterday my truck started to hesitate, loss of power and wanting to stall. The check engine light came on too. I quickly pulled into a parking lot and shut the truck off (2-3 minutes after the problem started). I used my obdII reader to pull codes p0353 and p0303. Both are cylinder 3 misfire related. I had the truck towed to my ford dealer this morning from the parking lot. Now after dropping the truck off at the dealer the dash is lite up like a christmas tree. Parking brake fault, abs, brake, engine lights, etc are all on now. It also mentioned something about hill assist briefly. Maybe the truck thought being towed it was on a hill at that angle. Dealer quoted me 3-5 days before they can diagnose the problems. I hope the misfire is electrical and not mechanical. I don't know if I should request they scope out the misfire cylinder to make sure there is no damage. My truck has 1529 miles and I've owned it for 2 months. It was built in February 2024. I started the truck briefly (45 seconds) to move it at the dealer. That's when I saw all the warning lights. Funny....I haven't got any warnings on my ford pass app. This has become a nightmare.Truck showing PO304 and PO302 cylinder misfire. Given you show the exact same issues as the OP, Id give your dealer his findings (or info) an get it scanned. Maybe the OP can share the dealer with you and the 2 dealers can talkOh crap. So sorry that you are having to go through all this. I got my truck back after the dealer had it for 9 days. I lucked out and in the end it ended up being a faulty connector. I had the dealer run a computerized compression test and they found no misfires indicating no damage to the cylinders. They screen shot the test results for me. After reviewing both of our problems 1 main difference I found was my truck threw up a open loop circuit fault code 0353 with ignition 3. I hope you get your truck issues worked out.The latest and greatest, dealer called today and told us the crate that the motor came in was damaged. The valve cover was damaged on the new motor. They asked do you want to replace the cover or wait for another motor? Didn’t hesitate new motor, they have already had the truck the whole month.
you would have that 12mo/12k warranty if your factory powertrain of 5y/60k had already expired.Supposedly a crate motor is only 12 months or 12000 miles
