Dealer installed Window Tint?

My XLT Ecoboost ordered in December 21 shipped on 1/27/23 . Should I take dealer offered window int for $399 or does the truck come with some window tint already ? Live in Southwest desert .

You may want additional tint. There is privacy glass on rear side, not much up front. I wouldn't get the dealer to do it unless you really need it wrapped in your monthly payment. You can get better for less outside dealer. There are also mobile services that can come to you in most metro areas.

If you do get dealer, be sure to know exactly what they are doing for price. They typically sub it out and put a huge markup. So you are paying more than the higher quality for bottom tier. $399 for just the front two windows is probably double what you could get direct from a tint shop (if not more).

This is correct.

For 2 front windows? Even using the highest grade nano ceramic tint you might be pushing $300, and you know the dealership isn't installing that you for.

I just got front windows tinted in TX at a very reputable shop for $70 total for CLT FX4
