Asking my fellow Mav owners for advice on a issue I have had for a little while but now want to take care of. I live in AZ where the sun can really be crazy BRIGHT, and even when I have my AC on the reflected glare off of the dashboard from the sun feels hot on my face. Is not a cooling issue is a blinding hot on my face issue.
Anyone else have this problem ? and if so is there a good fix, is it a matt material non-reflective dash board cover fix or something else ?

Looking forward to all of your answers as I have found there are quite a few McGyver types on here.

Thanks, Newbie

I went to this place for a clear windshield “tint” that reduces UV rays. Also a dark windshield “brow” on the top of inner windshield. Reasonable prices and good customer service. They’re over on Broadway between Kolb & Pantano.

I have the entire front windshield tinted.

It's a 70% rated, ceramic tint from Xpel (installed inside the truck, not outside).
Looks clear, even at night, but rejects heat, UV and glare.
Love it!

The only minor downfall I've had relates to getting a rock chip or crack on the outside of the glass.
If your windshield has to be replaced, you have to get new film installed afterwards.

I will have this done on every vehicle I own now.

I live in South Florida and have never experienced any kind of glare. I am pretty tall so maybe it’s my seat position and seat height zero issues here.

This is one of the first vehicles I've ever owned that I enjoy not having the sun bounce off the dashboard or console or door panel items. Because of fake chrome plating or chrome-like plating on surfaces I absolutely love it.

I’m hoping the “appliqué” will prevent small windshield dings from spreading. Haven’t gotten any yet after a year… but I know they’re inevitable!

The hood threw a hideous glare at me & my seat position. Solved that problem with a AirDesign/Ford hood “scoop” option. A very functional scoop in that regard
